LA Philharmonic at Hollywood Bowl

Traffic on the 405 Freeway. We so don't miss this.

Before we left, Case googled the route to the Hollywood Bowl. According to the online genius, it would take 20 minutes without traffic, or 90 minutes with. We decided if we got burned out on traffic, we'd scrub our bowl plans and just get dinner. In the end, though, we hung in there and arrived at the Hollywood Bowl in about and hour and 15 minutes. Having the GPS to direct us on surface streets helped.
We happily purchased seats up in the "nosebleed section" with a great view of the bowl, the Hollywood sign, and the surrounding hills. Fewer people, too! We had enough crowd getting here!
Thanks to our high power zoom lens, we could see the symphony, and as the music began, we forgot the traffic, relaxed, and enjoyed the Tchaikovsky violin concerto.
