Case spoiled us in Paris! This is the view from our hotel room balcony: the Arc de Triomphe, buily by Napoleon to commemorate his victories. Interestingly, by the time it was finished, Napoleon I and his victories were history. Now, it commemorates all who fought for France and shelters the French tomb of the unknown soldier.
Following our afternoon arrival by train from Geneva, we checked in to the hotel, took a nap, and then decided to walk around "The City of Light" by night.
It was after midnight by the time we returned to our hotel, but worth staying up for. Recommended!
