Our day trip started from Munich with a two hour train trip south to Fussen near the border with Austria.
The train traveled through beautiful country side....
next we hopped a bus for a short bus ride...
to the castle. We toured through the castle, but would have risked being thrown in the dungeon if we'd taken any pictures. (
Case: Ya' know how sometimes you have Heidi for your tour guide, and sometimes you get Helga? This time, we had Helga!)
We then took a mountain path down from the castle....

and another view of the Alps as we head back to Munich on the train.
